Homework for Class 9

  1. Here is a (not very practical) exercise on modifying LaTeX styles. Grab Donald Arseneau's shapepar package from the CTAN archive, and use its \shapepar{\diamondshape}, \shapepar{\heartshape}, and \shapepar{\nutshape} commands to typeset the figure. (You will probably have to tinker with the page layout to get the document on a single page: that is part of the exercise.) Notice that the shapepar package was written for the now obsolete LaTeX 2.09, so the documentation has references to the defunct command \documentstyle, which you should replace with \documentclass.

  2. Have Maple assist you to typeset the following matrix of matrices. The submatrices are Hilbert matrices.

  3. Continue to work on the projects.
