Making mistakes with Maple

It has been said that the best students are those who make every possible mistake--once. Piet Hein phrased the sentiment poetically in his 1966 book Grooks:

         THE ROAD TO WISDOM

The road to wisdom? --Well, it's plain
and simple to express:
           Err
           and err
           and err again
           but less
           and less
           and less.

Maple, being a computer program, will make the same mistake over and over. And being a computer program, it does make mistakes, sometimes in collaboration with humans.

The examples below were tested on the following version of Maple 7. Your mileage may vary.
