How to get a computer account

Graduate students who are registered in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University apply for accounts on the Department of Mathematics computers by filling out a form that can be obtained from Monique Stewart in the graduate office (Blocker 625) or from Art Belmonte (Blocker 623E).

Faculty members in the Department of Mathematics apply for accounts by contacting either Alisa Baron in Blocker 623 or Cheryl Hanks in Milner 110.

Accounts on University computing resources (other than the mathematics department machines) can be opened through the ACCESS system. You can use ACCESS at any of the University's computing centers, for example, at the Academic Computing Center (ACC) in Blocker 133. There is a help desk there where you can get assistance.

If you already have an account on the Department of Mathematics computers, and you want to claim an account on University computing resources, you can enter the ACCESS system from a departmental x-terminal as follows: log in to fourier or laplace, click the mouse in the background area, click on "Terminals", click on "x3270", click on "TAMMVS1", and enter "access" at the prompt.
