Preface

This course discusses the communication of mathematics, with emphasis on computer techniques. The course is intended primarily for entering graduate students in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University.

Introduction

To communicate, you have to learn the language, acquire information, and transmit information. These are not independent activities, and accordingly this course has a nonlinear structure. Many of the course materials will be on-line in a hypertext interlinked format.
