If you are logged in to one of the Mathematics Department's X-terminals, do not just walk away when the screen is blank! To log off, click the left mouse button on the background area of the screen. The root menu should appear. Click on "Logout" and then click "Yes" on the window that pops up. After a few moments, the login screen should appear. Then you can leave.
